The location of this place was amazing, and the facilities were mind-blowing! We didn't need to bring anything for breakfast and the fully comprehensive kitchen was super convenient. The communal eating area and comfortable lounge made it a great social space, and the separate TV lounge with the full Sky package was jaw-dropping! The covered patio area was perfect for outdoor dining, and the ample parking was a bonus. We had the whole place to ourselves during our mid-week stay, which was fantastic. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and warm, and the staff couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. It felt more like a hotel or a home away from home, and coming from Yorkshire, the great value for money was a major plus!

Loved the garden views, free WiFi and free parking. The large lounge with fell views and underfloor heating was just perfect. And let's not forget the amazing terraces and BBQ facilities. A dream come true for social gatherings!

Who needs an airport nearby when you have all this countryside beauty? So inconvenient.

We spent our days hiking and cycling through the stunning countryside, and even went fishing - felt like true adventurers! Best part was, we had the whole place to ourselves, so we could party all night long without worrying about annoying other guests. The games room and the outdoor games field were awesome, kept us entertained for hours. Plus, they had a ton of board games and toys for our inner children!

Only downside was that there wasn't a lively nightlife scene nearby for us young party animals. Would've been even more fun if there was a cool bar or club within walking distance.

The facilities at this place were amazing. The ensuite accommodation was a huge plus, and the large communal living areas were perfect for our group. Not to mention the fantastic hot tub, which was a great way to relax after a long day of walking. The location was also a big advantage, with stunning views of the surrounding fells and plenty of walks to choose from right on the doorstep. And despite feeling secluded, it was a quick 10-minute walk into town for some great food and drinks.

One slight downside was the water flow in the shower, which was relatively slow in my room. It was a bit disappointing, especially since the tap water flow was strong everywhere else in the property.

I had a fantastic stay at a private villa in a beautiful location. The accommodation was well equipped and maintained to a high standard. The hot tub was definitely a highlight. The owner was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway.

Perfect for a retreat or base for exploring the beautiful area. And guess what? Wi-fi, electric kettle, table tennis, darts, and cots were all available, and no pets or smoking on site! Incredible, right?

the location was perfect for both car and foot exploration. the rooms were cozy, with ensuite bathrooms for all and comfy beds. the kitchen facilities were well-equipped, making it easy to prepare meals. There was ample space in the communal area for relaxing and socializing, including a TV lounge with a large screen. the outside patio offered a covered space for dining and enjoying the surroundings. Plus, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

I absolutely loved the cozy and homely atmosphere at The Barn. The decoration was charming, with rustic touches and warm colors that made me feel instantly comfortable. The common areas were spacious and inviting, perfect for relaxing and socializing with other guests. As a senior woman, I also appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The staff made sure that there were no steps or obstacles that would make it difficult for me to move around, which was a thoughtful touch.

If I had to ask for one thing to make the vacation even better for senior people, it would be to have a few more grab bars in the bathrooms. Although the staff at The Barn were helpful and friendly, I found that the showers could be a bit slippery and I would have felt more secure with additional support.
